On November 2, about a hundred people gathered near a private house in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv. Reports on social media claimed that dozens of men were being held against their will in the building's basement. Later, it became known that the house was being used by a National Guard unit.
The alarm was raised by a woman who claimed to be the owner of a private ambulance service, but journalists discovered that she was not. The woman was accompanied by a «driver» who claimed on social media to be a member of a «special force unit». However, according to a court order, he has been considered absent without leave (AWOL) since 2022.
Throughout September, both individuals actively disseminated calls for people to gather at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv on October 3 to rally for peace with the Russian Federation. Fact-checkers identified this event as part of a Russian information campaign.
«Doctor», «investigator»: who is Valentyna Moloda whogathered a crowd outside the National Guard building?
Valentyna Moloda, 49, disseminated calls on TikTok urging people to go to Soniachna Street in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. On TikTok, she identifies herself as an «investigative journalist». She began hosting live streams on the morning of November 2, claiming that people were being tortured inside a house on Soniachna Street. At that time, no one else had yet arrived at the location. By November 3, the videos, earlier posted as stories, had disappeared from her account.
Valentyna arrived at Soniachna Street in an ambulance, dressed in an emergency medical responder's uniform. She introduced herself to journalists as the owner of a private ambulance service called Med-Prestige. However, Moloda has no official connection to the company.
According to Opendatabot, Valentyna Moloda is linked to three medical companies. Only one of them holds a license from the Ministry of Health: the Kyiv-based LLC «Clinic of gerontology, aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery Moloda-Ya».
The license for the clinic, in which Moloda is a director and co-founder, was issued via Ministry of Health Order No. 1716 dated September 30, 2023. Moloda posted this order on her Instagram.
According to the Ministry of Health licensing registry, the clinic is authorized to provide services in obstetrics and gynecology, plastic, vascular, and general surgery, anesthesiology, urology, and several other specialties. Emergency medicine is not included in the list.
On her Instagram page, Valentyna Moloda, who goes by the name «Doctor Valentyna», invites people to book consultations with her at the clinic.
As of November 3, 2026, LLC «Medical Center Prime», whose full name includes the words «emergency medicine» and whose director and co-owner is Moloda, did not hold a Ministry of Health license for medical practice. According to the analytical platform YouControl, the company was registered in the spring of 2026.
The first post on Moloda's TikTok account appeared on October 10, 2026. In it, Moloda shared a comment by MP Anna Skorokhod, who is known for her criticism of mobilization, regarding a man who identifies himself as Oleksandr Todorovand a serviceman of the 41st separate mechanized brigade.
In early September, a video was posted on YouTube in which he stated that he believes in peace negotiations with the Russian Federation. He also called for protests on October 3, demanding the signing of a peace treaty with Russia. A significant portion of the videos on Moloda's TikTok account is dedicated to this topic.
The reposts that Moloda shared on her TikTok page include a comment by Kremlin leader Putin and calls from Trump to re-elect the president of Ukraine. They also feature criticism of Zelensky and mobilization in Ukraine.
The register of court decisions contains several mentions ofadministrative offenses committed by a woman whose full namematches that of Valentyna Moloda.
In 2025, the woman was involved in a traffic accident in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka; she subsequently failed to stop when ordered to do so by patrol officers. When the officers apprehended her following a pursuit, they observed signs that she was under the influence of alcohol. She refused to undergo a sobriety test. The court imposed a fine of 17,000 hryvnias on the woman and suspended her driving license for one year.
In 2022, Moloda was set to face trial for petty hooliganism.According to law enforcement, she used obscene language and harassed staff at the Tustan Hotel in Lviv region. Because the violation report was filled out incorrectly, the case files were returned for revision; subsequently, the proceedings were closeddue to the expiration of the statute of limitations for administrative liability.
As for the Med-Prestige clinic, the logo of which was on the ambulance that transported Moloda on November 2, the investigative journalism agency Slidstvo.Info established that it has not been operational for three years. The company's owner, Mykhailo Furman who, according to YouControl, previously held Russian citizenship and is now an Israeli citizen (as reported by Slidstvo.Info) told journalists that the firm had owned five ambulances: one was handed over to the Ukrainian military in Mykolaiv, while the other four were sold.
According to Furman, the vehicle, in which Valentyna Moloda arrived, was sold in 2024. He states that, under the terms of the sale, the new owners were required to remove the company logos. However, the footage from Soniachna Street shows that the logo remained.
The Suspilne investigative office checked the Ministry of Health licensing registry. As of October 2, 2026, Med-Prestige LLC still holds a license for medical practice issued in 2012, which specifically covers emergency medicine. There are no records of its revocation in the registry, nor has the legal entity been liquidated. The trademark Med-Prestige is also registered, with the certificate valid until 2029.
The Suspilne investigative office sent questions to Valentyna Moloda regarding the circumstances of her arrival on Soniachna Street, the origin of the vehicle, and the source of the information about the «40 hostages». We had not received a response by the time of publication.
Ambulance Driver
On the evening of November 2, a video appeared on TikTok featuring a man who claimed he had arrived on Soniachna Street together with the «doctor» to provide medical assistance.According to him, he is now receiving threats and fears for his life.
The Suspilne investigative office has identified the «driver». He is Serhii Radzytskyi, a 31-year-old resident of Kharkiv region.
Radzytskyi's name has previously appeared in the media under similar circumstances. On September 29, 2023, an incident occurred at a checkpoint in Kharkiv: unidentified armed men in military uniforms attacked police officers who were on duty there. The NV news outlet reported that the attackers likely belonged to the Kraken special unit of the GUR (Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence). The Kharkiv region police opened a case under a charge involving threats or violence against a law enforcement officer. The then head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, condemned the conflict and described such incidents as unacceptable.
At that time, Serhii Radzytskyi spoke out in support of the Kraken unit and recorded a video. In it, he urged civilians to stand up for the military, described the police officers at checkpoints as people who «only harass babushkas at the market», and stated that if the civilian population did not rise up, «then it is a disgrace to the entire country». Those remarks were subsequently cited in the media.
Radzytskyi has repeatedly been the subject of administrative offense cases.
According to the register of court decisions, in May 2025, a man whose full name and place of birth match those of Serhii Radzytskyi was detained near the village of Vydrychka in Zakarpattia region while attempting to illegally cross the state border from Ukraine into Romania.
The court ruling notes that, as of 2025, Radzytskyi was a military serviceman (the military unit number is withheld) and had been classified as an AWOL soldier since September 13, 2022. He did not admit guilt. The court imposed a fine of 3,400 hryvnias.
In July 2022, Radzytskyi was involved in a traffic accident in the town of Valky, Kharkiv region, crashing into a fence. The court ruling, which imposed a fine of 850 hryvnias, stated that he served in the «GUR, city of Kharkiv».
In one of his TikTok videos, Radzytskyi also claimed to have served in a special force unit, not specifying which one. Given that Radzytskyi publicly spoke in defense of the Kraken special unit, which is part of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, we reached out to the intelligence agency to verify whether that was where he served.
Yevhenii Yerin, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, stated that Radzytskyi is not, and has never been, a service member of the Kraken unit.Regarding whether he served in the GUR and whether he went AWOL from there, Mr. Yerin requested that a formal journalistic inquiry be submitted.
Radzytskyi runs his own YouTube channel and TikTok account. Before October 3, he used these platforms to share calls for people to join a rally, for which the aforementioned Oleksandr Todorov served as the public face.
According to Texty.org.ua, among the few dozen people who did show up at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv on October 3 were bloggers who spread Russian propaganda – Anzhela Fuka-Dubina from Zaporizhzhia and Todor Panovskyi from Odesa. To emphasize the significance of the event, Russian media outlets illustrated their coverage with photos from 2019, taken when a larger crowd had gathered for a similar event.
We attempted to contact Serhii Radzytskyi. The phone number that, according to our information, might have belonged to him turned out to belong to someone else; the person who answered stated that Radzytskyi does not use it. We then sent questions to his TikTok account. As of the time of publication, he had not responded.
The house on Soniachna Street belongs to Sens Bank.
The events in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka took place near the building at 7-A Soniachna Street. As established by the Suspilne investigative office, this property along with the plot of land was put up for sale in October 2026.
The property is a residential house with an area of 611 square meters; the auction is being organized by JSC Sens Bank. The announcement states that the house has been owned by the bank since 2018. The starting price was over 12 million hryvnias, but the auction did not take place as no participants showed up. The bank has been attempting to sell the house since at least 2021.
Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, stated that the house was rented.
As seen in photos from real estate listings, 'For Rent' and 'For Sale' banners with phone numbers were displayed on the building's facade. In apps used to identify callers, one of these numbers was labeled by users as 'Oksana Ukrsotsbank'.
In 2019, Ukrsotsbank was merged into Alfa-Bank, which, according to YouControl, was renamed Sens Bank in 2022.
The Suspilne investigative office sent inquiries to Sens Bank and the National Guard, asking on what legal grounds the military used the property; who concluded the agreement and when; whether the bank was aware of the military's presence; and whether it disclosed this information to potential buyers.
Where the men from the house on Soniachna Street were taken
On the evening of November 2, four men from the house on Soniachna Street were taken away by an ambulance. In a comment to Suspilne on November 3, National Guard spokesperson Ruslan Muzychuk stated that the servicemen had been transported to a medical center in Kyiv region to undergo a medical examination and receive medical care, if necessary.
«Everything is fine for now. Since this morning, the necessary examinations and treatment have been underway. The men's relatives have been informed about their condition,» noted Ruslan Muzychuk. «Our primary goal is to verify whether the reported injuries actually exist. Specifically, there are unconfirmed reports regarding fatalities or, as has been alleged, spinal fractures. According to eyewitnesses at the scene, all four individuals walked into the ambulance on their own. Precise diagnoses will be available today. Fortunately, the claims about any sort of torture remain unconfirmed.»
How it all started
The information about the incident on Soniachna Street began to spread around noon. By 4:00 pm, the Kyiv region police had already responded. As reported by Suspilne, about a hundred people gathered near the building. Some identified themselves as relatives of mobilized men. They claimed that men inside the building were being beaten and that money was being extorted from their families. One woman stated that she was asked to pay 100,000 hryvnias to see her husband, though she could not provide any evidence to support the claim. According to Suspilne, Maksym Ocheretianyi, deputy chief of the Kyiv region police, confirmed that the building is a military facility.
Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko personally arrived at the site on Soniachna Street. According to him, the building served as a temporary accommodation point for mobilized personnel arriving via the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers. There, they underwent processing and background checks before departing for a 58-day training course.
According to Pivnenko, the four hospitalized men are AWOL soldiers who were detained, and the phones belonging to the mobilized personnel were confiscated for security reasons.
The Azov 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine stated that the building serves as a temporary deployment site for Military Unit 3121, which is part of the Corps. The Corps confirmed that four soldiers sustained injuries.
Officials gave varying figures regarding the number of people in the building. Pivnenko spoke of 18 military personnel. Kyrylo Budanov, who arrived at the scene that evening, stated that there were 14 people inside the building.
Military ombudsperson Olha Reshetylova reported that all servicemen are safe and that an inspection has already been ordered. Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi stated that an internal investigation has been launched, and the State Bureau of Investigation is working at the scene.
